Washing

We highly recommend hand washing using a dedicated lingerie wash. We carry Soak in the shop, and it's our top pick!

Avoid washing your bras in the washing machine, even in a lingerie bag, and skip regular laundry detergent. These can break down the elastic, cause underwires to pop out of their casings, and significantly shorten the life of your bra.

To hand wash your bras:

  1. Fill your sink with warm water.
  2. Add 1 tsp of Soak (or your lingerie wash) to the water.
  3. Submerge your bras. If there's deodorant buildup, apply a little extra soap directly to that area and gently work it in with your fingers or a soft toothbrush.
  4. Let your bras soak for about 20 minutes.
  5. Gently squeeze out the excess water, avoid wringing or twisting.
  6. Lay flat on a towel or hang to dry.

Wash your bras every 1–2 weeks, or sooner if you notice any odor, discoloration, or deodorant buildup.

Bra Care

The average bra lasts about 6 months, but you can extend that by rotating between several. Having 2–4 bras in your rotation can help them last up to a year. When your bras start to feel uncomfortable or less supportive, it's time to come in for a refitting!
